As a member of the Horse Genome Community, a supporter and collaborator in the Functional Annotation of Animal Genomes (FAANG) initiative, and as a member of the NRSP8 USDA multi-state Animal Genome working group, Dr. Mienaltowski works with several researchers to improve the equine genome for all looking to use the tool in their research.
Dr. Mienaltowski is a member of the multi-state group S1094: Genomic tools to improve equine health, wellbeing and performance.
